Built the core marketplace experience for PromptBase, connecting AI creators and buyers around prompts, apps, bundles, and agent skills, with Stripe Connect-powered creator payouts and integrations spanning OpenAI and other leading AI models.
The Challenge
As generative AI expanded across creative and business workflows, creators needed a way to package and monetize their expertise, while users needed a trusted marketplace to discover AI products for specific use cases. The platform had to solve product discovery, creator onboarding, digital product delivery, marketplace payments, commissions, automated payouts, and integrations across rapidly changing AI models all at once.
We developed the core marketplace experience around creators, buyers, digital AI products, transactions, and model integrations. The AI product marketplace lets users discover and purchase prompts across image, text, and video use cases, alongside bundles, apps, and newer AI product formats. Creator monetization tools let creators publish products, set pricing, sell through the marketplace, and receive payouts. We implemented Stripe Connect to handle creator onboarding, marketplace commissions, split payments, and automated vendor payouts, and integrated OpenAI and additional LLM providers so the platform could support different AI workflows and expand as new models emerged, the marketplace now spans models including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, and others. Beyond a traditional digital marketplace, the platform also supports a Creator Marketplace where customers can hire AI creators directly for custom work such as prompts, model fine-tuning, and AI applications.
